1. Admission Requirements for the M.Sc. Program (Thesis Non-coursework)
- Academic Qualifications
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.25. The Program Committee will review and approve applications based on academic qualifications. - English Language Proficiency
Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency by submitting scores from one of the following tests:
- CU-TEP: Minimum score of 30
- IELTS: Minimum score of 3.0
- TOEFL PBT: Minimum score of 400
- TOEFL CBT: Minimum score of 97
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 32
2. Admission Requirements for the M.Sc. Program (Coursework and Thesis)
- Academic Qualifications
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field or be in their final semester of study at the undergraduate level. The Program Committee will review and approve applications based on academic qualifications. - English Language Proficiency
Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency by submitting scores from one of the following tests:
- CU-TEP: Minimum score of 30
- IELTS: Minimum score of 3.0
- TOEFL PBT: Minimum score of 400
- TOEFL CBT: Minimum score of 97
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 32
3. Admission Requirements for the Ph.D. Program (Dissertation Non-coursework/ Coursework and Dissertation)
- Academic Qualifications
Track (1) Applicants must hold a master’s degree or be studying in the final semester of their master’s program, or the Program Committee may approve the application on a case-by-case basis. Admission will be based on a review of academic qualifications and research potential.
Track (2) Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or be studying in the final semester of their bachelor’s program with a minimum GPA of 3.25. The Program Committee may approve the application on a case-by-case basis.
- English Language Proficiency
Applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency by submitting scores from one of the following tests:
- CU-TEP: Minimum score of 45
- IELTS: Minimum score of 4.0
- TOEFL PBT: Minimum score of 450
- TOEFL CBT: Minimum score of 133
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 45
Remark for application
- Applicants who have graduated from programs conducted in English are exempted from submitting English proficiency test scores.
- Applicants without an English score can apply to the program; however, they must submit a valid English score by the interview date for the Biotechnology Program.
- All English test scores are valid for 2 years from the test date. The submitted scores must be valid through the date of the final decision announcement.
- Applicants who are studying in the final semester of their current degree program must submit their degree certificate by the first registration date at Chulalongkorn University. Admission will be finalized once the degree certificate is provided and the required GPA for the program is met.
