Graduate Program in Biotechnology, Faculty of Science | Chulalongkorn
The Biotechnology Graduate Program is an multidisciplinary graduate program offering Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees. Students conduct research under the guidance of faculty members from the nine academic departments within the Faculty of Science, along with the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at Chulalongkorn University. The program is designed to prepare graduates for distinguished careers in biotechnology across academic institutions, private industry, and other professional sectors.
About Program
The biotechnology program is a multidisciplinary program offering both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees under the supervision of academic faculty members from the Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, as well as from nine departments in the Faculty of Science: Biochemistry, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Environmental Science, Food Science and Technology, Marine Science, and Microbiology. Integrated research, ranging from biomolecule identification to process technology development, is offered to prepare students for biotechnology careers in both academic and private sectors. The program aims to produce highly qualified human resources with excellent scientific knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the biotechnology field, equipping them to engage in applied and advanced research that meets both local and global demands.
